Sr. RF Engineer

Job Description:

The LTE RF Optimization Engineer will be required to work within a team of RF engineers and independently to perform RF network optimization activities during network rollout phase.
Radio Planning and Optimization of an LTE network to trouble shoot and improve KPIs
Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems
Implementation of new features and tuning LTE radio network parameters
Analysis of neighbor relations and implementation of corrections
Performs RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project managers guidance
Provides support to customers in field of expertise
 
Required Competencies and Skills:

A minimum of 5 year work experience in RF Planning & Optimization for LTE.
A minimum of 2 years good work experience on LTE Optimization
Thorough understanding of RF ancillary equipment and function.
Working knowledge of NSN RAN Product.
Knowledge and practice of planning and optimization processes.
Knowledge and practice of RF Planning tool and DT measurement tools.
Good knowledge of 4G KPI, practice in creating and analysis of statistical KPI reporting.

RF Engineer

RF ENGINEERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND TRAINING IN IRVING, TEXAS. TWO RF ENGINEERS PER JOB LOCATION: SOUTH: (ATLANTA, GA; BIRMINGHAM, AL; ORLANDO, FL; DALLAS, TX; AUSTIN, TX; HOUSTON, TX; MIAMI, FL; TAMPA, FL; MOBILE, AL; JACKSONVILLE, FL; MEMPHIS, TN AND PUERTO RICO)

Senior RF Engineer will be required to perform moderately difficult tasks that require limited judgment and requires minimum supervision (confer with technical leads on unusual problems). Responsibilities include linking budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, initial system design and dimensioning and RF optimization. UMTS/GSM: Lead RF design and optimization activities for a WCDMA network using enterprise post-processing and KPI reporting application for cluster/market acceptance. The job requires performance of routine tasks with limited supervision in order to execute/follow specific instructions on required tasks with expected performance results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The area of responsibility will generally cover, several of the following activities.

 

  • Perform RF network design, planning and optimization activities. Responsible to resolve day-to-day issues and support regions to deliver KPI of every UMTS/GSM cluster.
  • Implement UMTS/GSM optimization/acceptance plan, sponsor best practices, assess and escalate system issues to RAN, Core, Data design teams 
  • Perform link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test
  • data for model calibration.
  • Undertake network performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks.
  • Undertake BSS/RNC/Node B parameter modifications.
  • Analyze and recommend equipment and antenna co-location requirements for different technologies.
  • Perform site build verification and acceptance.

Systems Engineer

 Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer role can be summarized as technical professional services delivery and fulfilment for a telecommunications software company. The role involves extensive travel and on-site customer facing work (upto 50%) and focuses on delivering professional services associated with the performance management software product.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of a minimum of 3 years in the service assurance software implementation and integration area and is a professional and independent worker. Experience with other commercially available service assurance software, especially with network performance management software systems, is mandatory for this role. Furthermore, the ideal candidate would be fluent in mobile operator technology domains such as radio access, mobile core, value added platforms, and transmission. Flexibility, quick learning, and a can-do attitude are a must have for this role.

 Description: 

  • Assume responsibility for delivery of software introduction services, which include software deployment, configuration, integration, validation, and acceptance with our customers
  • Delivery of a wide range of professional services, including services such as KPI definitions, data reporting and visualization, data enrichment, software configuration, and floor-walking at customer sites.
  • Contribute to interface software requirements specifications for different equipment vendors, ensuring that file formats and parsing problems, import keys, managed object class models, and general data modelling is accurate and in line with the requirements.

Senior Systems Engineer

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:


The role can be summarized as technical delivery management in a telecommunications software company. The role involves extensive travel (up to 50%) and focuses on ensuring overall technical systems design and integrity of the software delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of a minimum of 5 years of commercially available service assurance software delivery and implementation and is a professional leader and independent worker. A hands-on and a flexible attitude is a must for this role. A firm technical background in OSS software and systems and in particular in the Service Assurance / Performance Management software architecture is required. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should be fluent in mobile operator technology domains such as radio access, mobile core, value added platforms, and transmission. The candidate would also be conversant in additional European language to English.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Systems Engineer the Senior Systems Engineer will carry inter-departmental activities covering technical pre-sales including software trials and proof of concepts, software product line, and software development.  

 Description: 

  • Assume overall technical leadership role and responsibility for software and services delivery to one or more customer delivery projects.
  • Ensure that software deployment, software configuration and integration, software acceptance services and any other type of professional services including training courses are delivered on quality
  • Responsible for overall solution architecture designs and low level integration designs of the software product including south- and northbound integration, software configuration and customisation.
  • Day-to-Day coordination of Systems Engineers involved in customer delivery projects and provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for junior systems engineers securing efficient services delivery and usage of power tools and instrumentation/productivity tools
  • Contribute to and approve interface software requirements specifications for different equipment vendors, ensuring that file formats and parsing problems, import keys, managed object class models, and general data modelling is accurate and in line with the requirements. 
  • Work with software product line and software development as expert beta tester and ensure full software feature capability knowledge
  • Work within the systems engineering and product management to help define/refine professional service packages and sales messages and ensure that the services portfolio and associated value added service packages are developed and messages communicated to sales team / marketing team

UMTS RF Optimization Engineer
